I arrived at the Golden Gate Bridge on Wednesday after having lunch with Michael earlier at the Coast Guard Training Center in Petaluma. At the north head of the bay, I was almost midway up the height of the north tower. Breath-taking view. It was a clear day, but as I was crossing the bridge just moments later, I saw hints of fog coming in. I flew out of San Francisco at 11:30pm that night, arrived at Dulles in Washington DC at 7:30am Thursday.
I’ll be posting a few reflections in the coming days … things I learned from my trip.
A view of the Golden Gate Bridge from the north head.
After crossing the bridge, I made my way to the Golden Gate Bridge park on the San Francisco side. That’s fog in the distance and it was only 3pm.
I dipped my toes in the cold Pacific waters. Further up, there were surfers in full body suits and a few children just swimming.
