After morning mass at Domus Australia, we headed south to the Colosseum and the Roman Forum. At Piazza Venezia, we fell upon the Monumento a Vittorio Emanuele II and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Okay, it isn’t something you just fall upon considering its size, but we hadn’t planned on seeing it. Well, we couldn’t avert our eyes.
Then off to the Roman Forum. But on the way, we are accosted by a centurion … for a hefty price, which we didn’t know about until after. Didn’t have the heart to refuse an anachronism with a sword.
It seems I can’t separate photos into separate galleries in the same post. So the next post is a continuation.
